Accident
A sudden, unexpected, unusual, specific, violent, external event which results in a loss.

Airline Failure
Costs of travel and accommodation due to the insolvency of the airline.

Cancellation
The Insured Person (Party) needing to cancel their trip due to illness, jury service, redundancy or fire at their home.

Curtailment
The unused travel and accommodation costs in the event of the Insured Person (Party) having to return home early due to illness or an incident at their home making it uninhabitable.

Delayed Baggage
Cover for if your luggage is delayed on the outward journey. There is a monetary limit, but it will provide cover for necessary purchases if your luggage is delayed by more than 12 hours.

Excess
Is an amount that you agree to pay, at the outset, towards the cost were there to be a claim under your policy.

General Exclusion
Something which is not covered by the insurance and relates to every section of the Policy.

Hijack
The Insured being detained against their will by hijack on an aircraft or sea vessel.
